Travel Essentials

I don’t know about you, but I always feel more comfortable in bringing my natural travel essentials on the road with me. I like to stick to my routine as much as possible to keep my skin happy and healthy. Here are a few products that I recently brought along with me on an overnight trip. Comment below with your travel essentials!

  • Purifying Cleanser: This is my favorite Tata Harper cleanser. This cleanser has a beautiful light, gel consistency. I apply it as Tata recommends: to dry skin then add water. After removing the cleanser with a warm, damp cloth, my skin feels so cool / tingly and firm. I have also used this cleanser with a FOREO Luna 2 cleansing device and the Clarisonic Mia 2 cleansing brush. Both devices work wonderfully with this product. This is the first natural cleanser that I have used until the last pump without passing it on. Whether you are just transitioning over to green beauty or a seasoned user, I wholeheartedly recommend this cleanser. 4.1 fl oz $66
  • Rejuvenating Serum: I really like this serum. It is thick but soft in texture. Although it takes a little while to sink into the skin, if it is mixed with an oil, it absorbs much more quickly. I can feel my skin tighten immediately after applying the product. I cannot fully attest to the wrinkle repair power and filling of fine lines because I have not developed many fine lines or deep wrinkles thus far. I do believe that my skin looks firmer and brighter while using this product regularly. 1.7 fl oz $158

  • Deodorant Cream: This has the best texture of any cream deodorant I have tried. Most other natural cream deodorants are grainy and gritty. This deodorant cream essential oils of tea tree, lavender, and peppermint along with clays and vegetable powders. Although I do have a slight reaction to the baking soda (same that I do with all natural deodorants that include this ingredient: redness/dry skin where applied), this is one of the only natural deodorants that I truly trust to keep me fresh all day long. Standard Size (2 oz) $14

  • Whitening Mineral Toothpaste (Mint): This toothpaste is creamy with a clean mint taste that is actually palatable. Sometimes it can separate a little bit, but that does not bother me. Activated charcoal removes stains from teeth as the coconut oil prevents development of cavities. This is one of the best natural toothpastes that I have tried. Regular size (4.2 oz) $9

  • Wild Rose Deodorant: I originally picked this product up while searching for a new deodorant. I like it as a deodorant but love to use it as a perfume / body spray. I read about using this product as a perfume / body spray on green beauty MUA Katey Denno’s blog. 🌹 3.4 fl oz $14

  • Sunscreen Lip Balm with SPF 15: This lip balm is great because because it isn’t too thick or sticky and the SPF 15 keeps my lips protected. My favorite lip balm ever is the Badger Cool Mint- Cocoa Butter Lip Balm (.25 oz for $4.99) that has the creamiest hydrating (but not at all sticky) lip balm I have ever used (conventional or not). I seriously do not leave my home without it! I also love to purchase from Badger directly because they treat their employees with so much respect and their products are the best quality and value. I keep an average of 8-10 badger products in my nightstand (it is safe to say I love everything Badger Balm!). 15 oz $3.49

  • Total Rejuvenation Night Face Oil: This face oil is one of my holy grail products. This beautiful oil absorbs quickly to deeply nourish my skin while promoting skin cellular turnover and repairing the skin. This product has completely eliminated the discoloration/redness in my skin along with clearing and preventing inflammation. I absolutely love all of my UMA oils products. If I were to pick just one oil from UMA… this would be it. Just 2-3 drops keep my skin clear, hydrated and supple. I LOVE this product! 1 fl oz $150

  • Voluminous Shampoo: This shampoo has a gel-like texture that lathers very well for a natural shampoo. I love the woodsy and slightly spicy scent. The formula is clarifying yet hydrating and always provides me with voluminous, textured hair. After trying at least a dozen other natural shampoos, this is definitely my favorite as when my hair dries, it does not leave a greasy/oily residue and wet hair look (you know what I mean!). Although this shampoo is expensive, it lasts me a few months of conservative use until I can get it on sale again or stock up! 9.3 oz $34
